Interlocks

GAL Interlocks are housed within a die cast aluminum enclosure featuring cold-rolled steel shafts. Our contacts are compression spring supported, silver-plated rated at 2 amps at 230 volts (CSA and UL approved), and mounted on an impact-resistant, temperature-stable Valox base. They are further insulated from the housing with a separate Lexan plate. This design configuration provides protection from mechanical stresses and from ground shorts, which could potentially occur due to moisture or carbonization.

The MOH Interlock ensures that a Hall door, featuring Side Opening doors, is mechanically locked when an electrical contact is complete. The MOPCH Interlock guarantees ensures that both left and right door panels of Center Parting doors are mechanically locked when the two electrical contacts are completed.
